I have battled with Arthritis since early High School, and I am the recipient of staged-bilateral peri-acetabular osteotomies following a diagnosis of Hip Dysplasia at 22. During this process I was unable to walk for a total of 12 weeks, went through some very testing times in recovery and found a great appreciation for walking.
I struggle with Borderline Personality Disorder, Depression and Anxiety Disorder. I have always had some difficulties with social interactions and recently found a great appreciation for my alone time.
Starting from the bottom, I have slowly worked up the strength in my legs and hips from being held together by bolts, to walking between rural Victorian towns!
This is my medical story, and my virtual logbook for my goal to connect Victoria by walking for those with Arthritis, Hip Dysplasia, and Men's Mental Health.
